Your Tasks
- Lead Construction manager in our Life Science Portfolio
- Management of the construction site, safety, and supervision
- Stakeholder management
- Responsible for compliance with safety requirements, quality specifications, deadlines, and costs in the construction phase
- Input for the construction plan during design
- Interface between project organisation, customer/operator, and the executing companies
- Organisation of all necessary work and equipment approvals, as well as the necessary training
- Obtaining and reviewing offers for services and equipment in the context of the project construction site
- Planning and concept creation for construction site logistics
- Enforcement of the customer's and regulatory execution standards
- Management and coordination of the specialist construction management
- Construction scheduling / coordination of the executing companies with the aim of ensuring continuous construction progress
- Cost and risk management, where you will be responsible for monitoring budgets and identifying potential risks to make informed decisions to minimize deviations and ensure the project's financial sustainability
- Monitoring of deadlines (5-week preview planning, weekly preview planning, daily construction meetings)
- Registration and tracking of defects/deviations
- Manage a team with up to 8 other construction managers
- You will ensure that your team members are sufficiently trained and experienced to carry out their work safely and efficiently
Your Profile
- Degree in engineering (specialisation in process or chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, pharmaceutical engineering or similar), Architectural Technologist or similar
- 8+ years of professional experience as a construction manager from bigger construction sites
- Practical experience in coordinating the various trades (process, construction, and technical building equipment)
- Independent, forward-thinking, and structured way of working
- Flexible and solution-oriented in responding to current events/requirements
- Assertive, communicative personality with team leadership skills
- Good English skills an advantage if you also speak Danish
- Proficient in using MS Office applications
- Extensive knowledge within the Danish Regulative (ABR18, AB18, YBL, etc.)
- Extensive experience in creating a world class safety culture as SHE coordinator AMK(B)
Traveling activity
The duration of our projects is usually between 6 and 24 months. Depending on the project and the project phase, the work location is mainly the project location at the customer, although mobile working from home is sometimes possible in consultation with the project management. At BakerHicks you have the opportunity to work with different customers and different technologies. You get to know new cities and are still always at home on weekends.
